1 I am an Argentinian businessman and would like to express
2 my unhappiness on my most recent trip to Hong Kong.
3 Before buying a digital camera I was interested in, I was checked
4 prices in different video stores in area close to Nathan Road.
5 I decided on a suitable model, priced at $2,600. But once
6 the deal was made and I had paid for the bill by credit card,
7 I was shown the superior model, having clearly better
8 quality. This item was almost four times expensive-$9,625.
9 I had not intended to buy this more expensive camera,

11 However, after I left the store, I saw in another shop,
12 there was the exactly similar model priced at $5,505. I could not believe this!
13 I went back to the first store, but they said it was "their"
14 price and they did not accept returns.
15 I was upset not only because I was overcharged more
16 than $4,000( which are a lot of money for anyone),
17 but also because these unscrupulous sales seem
18 to lack for integrity in dealing with their customers.
19 I am imformed this is a common practice in Hong Kong. I am suggested
20 that tourists should be warned of these pratices when they arrive at the
21 airport. I also think that the government should be require
22 stores to accept returns within three days purchase.
