Shyness
1 What is shyness?Shyness means to feel a little scared since you are around other
2 people.Some children are born shy while some become shy have because experiences
3 they have had at the school or at home. It is also normal for people to feel shy when
4 they are placed in the new environment, for example, when they go to school for the
5 first time. This kind of shyness is temporary and often goes away while people become
6 adjusted to new environment.
7 Is shyness a problem? No, it is not if it becomes very serious. For example, some
8 people are so shy about being with people that avoid travelling by the public
9 transport. Some people are so nervous about ordering food but avoid going to
10 restaurants. This people should seek help.
11 According to some psychologist, being shy is not necessarily a hindrance to everyday
12 lives. Sometimes it is helpful to be slightly shy. A shy person may respond hastily to a
13 new situation than someone who is not shy. This is because of they prefer spending
14 time observing the scene before taking an action.
15 If you know someone who is extreme shy, try to help the person feel less nervous
16 by spending more time talking to him or her.The more time you spend with the
17 person, the more shy he or she will feel around you. |
